Droppy Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This policy explains what data the Droppy: Water & Drink Tracker app for iPhone and iPad ("Droppy", "the app") handles, why it does so and what choices you have. It applies to Droppy version 1.4.0 and later.

The short version

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is:

Kornel Miszczak, ul. Stefczyka 99, 34-116 Bachowice, Poland, NIP 5512651565, REGON 520239649

E-mail: kornel@racethon.com

2. Data stored only on your device

Droppy stores the following data in the app's own storage on your device:

Weight and activity level. You can enter your weight and activity level to calculate a suggested daily goal. Droppy uses them only for this calculation and does not save them. Only the resulting goal is saved.

Widget. To show today's progress in the Droppy widget, Droppy copies today's total, your goal, your default portion and your theme colours to a storage area on your device that only Droppy and its widget use. Water you add with the widget button is kept there until the app imports it. If you place the widget on your Lock Screen, anyone who can see your screen can see your progress.

Droppy does not send this data to us or to any third party. We have no access to it. The only exception is Apple Health, and only if you turn it on (section 3).

Backups. If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, Apple includes app data, including Droppy's data, in that backup. This is controlled by your device settings, not by Droppy.

3. Apple Health (optional)

Droppy works without Apple Health. It uses Apple Health only if you turn on a switch in Settings > Apple Health and allow access in the iOS permission screen.

How Droppy treats your Health data:

Apple keeps Apple Health data in the Health app under Apple's own terms. You can stop Droppy's access at any time by turning off the switches in Droppy or by changing Droppy's access in the Health app. To delete data that Droppy saved to Apple Health, use the Health app.

4. Purchases and the Pro reward

Apple processes all purchases in the App Store. We do not receive your name, your Apple Account details or your payment details. Droppy uses Apple's StoreKit on your device to check whether you own Droppy Pro and stores this status on your device. Apple's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Pro reward. If you do not own Droppy Pro and you reach your daily goal 3 days in a row, Droppy unlocks the Pro features for 3 days, once. Droppy decides this on your device from your entries and stores only the end time of the reward. Nothing about it is sent to us or to Apple. When the reward ends, a premium theme switches back to a free theme.

5. Ratings

Droppy may show Apple's rating prompt after you reach your goal, after a streak of 7 days or after you buy Droppy Pro. It asks at most 3 times, at least 7 days apart, and only after you have reached your daily goal on at least 3 days. Apple shows the prompt and handles your rating. Droppy stores on your device only how many times and when it asked.

After your first drink, the Home screen may show a small banner asking whether you like Droppy. Its "Rate" button and the "Rate Droppy" button in Settings open Droppy's page in the App Store. Droppy stores on your device only whether you closed the banner.

6. Notifications

Droppy uses local notifications only. They are created and scheduled on your device, without any server. If you allow notifications, Droppy can send water reminders between the hours you choose, a message when you reach your daily goal or a streak milestone and, after a streak of 30 days or more, one message about Racethon, a running challenges app. You can turn off reminders in Droppy's settings and all of Droppy's notifications in iOS Settings.

7. E-mails and information Apple shares with us

E-mail. If you write to kornel@racethon.com, for example with the Send Feedback button in Settings, we receive your e-mail address, your message and anything you attach. A message started with Send Feedback already contains the Droppy version, the iOS version, your device model and the app language, so that we can understand problems. You see this text before you send the message and you can remove it. We use all of this only to answer you and to fix problems. Our e-mail is hosted by Google (Google Workspace).

App Store statistics. Apple gives developers aggregated statistics, such as downloads and sales. If you chose in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple also shares app usage metrics and crash reports with us. We use them to fix problems and improve Droppy.

8. Links to other websites

Droppy contains links to racethon.com, the website of Racethon, a running challenges app, and to this policy. These links open in your browser. The link to Racethon tells the website that the visit came from Droppy. The website's own privacy policy applies there: https://racethon.com/privacy.html

9. Legal bases

If the GDPR or similar laws apply to you, we rely on the following legal bases:

PurposeDataLegal basis
App features on your deviceSection 2Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: providing the service you use

10. Who receives data

Apple and Google are bound by their own privacy policies and provide the same or equal protection of user data as described in this policy. Nobody receives your drink entries.

11. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google may process e-mails you send us in the United States and in other countries, because Google hosts our e-mail. Google states that Google LLC complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to it and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and that it uses Standard Contractual Clauses where they are required. Apple describes its transfers in Apple's Privacy Policy.

12. How long data is kept

DataHow long
Data on your device (section 2)Until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Deleting an app removes the app and its data from your device. Copies in your backups follow your backup settings.
Data in Apple Health (section 3)Until you delete it in the Health app.
Purchase records (section 4)Kept by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. Droppy keeps only the Pro status and the end of the Pro reward on your device.
E-mails (section 7)Up to 24 months after the last message in the conversation.

13. Your choices and rights

Choices in the app:

"Reset to Defaults" in Settings resets your settings only. It does not delete your entries.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on our legitimate interest and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before. Because we do not hold the data stored on your device, the choices in the app are the fastest way to see, change or delete it. For e-mails you sent us, or for any other request, write to kornel@racethon.com. We answer without undue delay and at the latest within one month.

Complaints. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live, where you work or where the alleged infringement took place. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warszawa, https://uodo.gov.pl

Is providing data required? No. You can use Droppy without giving us any personal data. Apple Health, notifications and e-mail are optional.

14. Children

Droppy is a general audience app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Droppy has no ads. If you believe that a child has sent us personal data, for example by e-mail, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Automated decisions

Droppy calculates suggestions, such as your daily goal, on your device. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

16. Security

Droppy's data is stored in the app's storage on your device and is protected by iOS. iOS encrypts Apple Health data when you lock your device. Droppy has no server of its own, so we do not store your data anywhere.

17. Changes to this policy

If Droppy starts handling data in a new way, we will update this policy before the change and change the date at the top. We will also mention significant changes in the App Store release notes.

Changes in this version: Droppy 1.4.0 no longer contains Google's ad and consent software, adds the Pro reward and offers Send Feedback to everyone.
